Hello Hello!

I LOVE jackets; they have been a staple and favorite of mine basically my whole entire life! I want to share a few of my favorite kinds with you!

1. Black Leather Jacket

Everybody needs one of these. You can wear them with so many things, and they are so easy to dress up and down. It’s a timeless piece, and definitely a staple in my closet.

This one is from New York & Company (It’s faux leather, which is a good option if you don’t want to spend 200$ I also have it in Forrest Green.)

2. A “Pretty” Jacket

I LOVE these kinds of jackets. They add such a pretty touch to any outfit, and the color looks so good on everybody (in my opinion, not scientifically proven! Ha!) I would say that maybe not specifically blush, but a jacket that you feel pretty and girly in, is a MUST for me.

This Jacket is from White House Black Market

3. Classic White Jacket

Need I say more? I AM OBSESSED. I think that everybody needs one of these. They are so versatile, you can wear them with almost anything. If you are up for the maintinance of a white jacket (tide to-go pen, anyone?) then this is a great go-to.

4. Denim Jacket

I am so grateful that these babies came back into style! I love denim jackets! I usually light the lighter colors of denim, but I love them. They go great with dresses (like the picture below!) or jeans and a baseball cap.

This Jacket is from Old Navy

5. A Vintage Jacket

I have ranted about how much I adore this jacket. I found it at a thrift store YEARS ago, and it’s still one of my favorite pieces in my closet. It’s retro and fun, and it’s so fun to see what styles I can make it work with. I think everybody should have a timeless jacket. It doesn’t always have to be expensive. Sometimes my most treasured pieces are not my Eileen Fisher cardigan, or my Calvin Klein shoes I splurged on. It’s peices like this, thrist store treasures that I just adore, not because I paid a lot for them but because they are timeless and authentic. So, google the nearest thrift store a find yourself a genuine Vintage Jacket. 😉

XOXO, MYKEL ELIZABETH
