Hello!

I have been doing more life updates since you guys have been requesting them! The last few weeks have been really great for me! I have been feeling extra grateful lately for all of the things in my life, and how many meaningful relationships and friendships that I have with my family, my friends, and with God. I have been practicing the habit of Gratitude every day, and I have really found it changing my perspective on things.

Last week my roommate and I were sitting in our kitchen and she was leaving for Utah the next morning for a week trip. Because I used to live in Utah, I still had a lot of my stuff in storage that I had been meaning to get for MONTHS, and kept trying to plan a time to drive up and get it. My roommate and I got to talking and one comment lead to the other and then we decided I was going to drive to Utah with her so she didn’t have to drive alone, and then fly back (because she was going to Nevada after Utah, and I could put my stuff in her car for her to bring back to me) and we decided to leave RIGHT THEN. So we packed quickly, got in the car and headed for a ten hour drive to Utah at 10PM. Kind of crazy on our part, but I live for moments and times like that. We drove all through the night, and arrived in Utah that morning. Shortly after, I realized that my cousins were going to be driving down from Idaho to visit a friend, and my Aunt was in town from Wisconsin, and my Uncle was there also… I know this sounds so cheesy, but I was so happy that I wanted to cry! I had been so homesick since moving to Arizona, and I was able to spend the day with all of my family members that were in town, and I am no believer of coincidences, so it was meant to be that I got to see them all. It just filled me to the brim with happiness to be with them! It was only for a day, then I had to get on a plane and fly back to my life in Arizona, but it honestly felt like a Tender Mercy the way that it all worked out. It was a short trip, but I got to see some of the people that matter most to me, and it was worth every hour of driving.

Another thing I wanted to talk about was my Summer Bucket List! There is no telling how long I will stay somewhere, and I like to really enjoy the places that I live before leaving. When I moved to Arizona I took on a lot with going to school full time and working two jobs and to be honest was kind of hermit, and didn’t get out much to see the things in Arizona! So this summer I have compiled a list of things to do here (So if you are in AZ, send me some of your favorite things to do!) I’ll be posting about them as I go. Some of them are sort of silly (like scorpion hunting!) and some of them are bigger (visiting Sedona, Grand Canyon, etc) I’m excited to share my AZ Summer Adventures with you all!

Thank you so much for all of your love and support for me, it means so much to me! And YOU all mean so much to me! Have a GREAT week!

XOXO, MYKEL ELIZABETH
